Imported from Italy, our Provolone Dolce is a semi-hard cheese with a smooth, mild, and slightly nutty flavor. While it’s an Italian classic, in Argentina it’s at the heart of provoleta — the beloved grilled cheese starter of any authentic asado.

How to cook / tips
CookingTips:
- Grill or bake as Provoleta, or slice for sandwiches.
- Grilled provoleta: Cut a thick slice (about 2–3 cm), place it in a small cast-iron pan or on a grill-safe dish, and cook over medium heat until golden and bubbling. Finish with a sprinkle of oregano, chili flakes, or chimichurri.
- Oven-baked provoleta: Place the slice in a small ovenproof dish, bake at 200°C until the cheese melts and forms a crispy crust. Serve immediately with warm bread.
Serving tips: Best enjoyed hot, straight from the pan, shared among friends with crusty bread and a glass of Malbec.
