Mid-Autumn Suckling Pig & Wine Set
A centrepiece for the Mid-Autumn table. A quarter Spanish suckling pig - crispy skin, tender and juicy meat, lightly marinated in saltwater and ready to roast - paired with two bottles of Destino wine from Mendoza, Argentina.
No baking soda, no tenderisers, no shortcuts. The suckling pig comes fully prepped in a roasting bag that inflates during cooking, creating a steam environment that keeps the meat moist while the skin crisps to perfection. Restaurant-quality results in a standard home oven.
This set includes:
- Frozen Suckling Pig, Quarter (1.1–1.5kg), serves 4
- Destino Chardonnay 2025 (750ml)
- Destino Malbec 2024 (750ml)
- Suckling pig origin: Spain
- Wine origin: Mendoza, Argentina
- 100% natural ingredients — no additives
- Lightly marinated in saltwater only
- Suckling pig: frozen, ready to roast
- Product dimensions (with container): approx. 22cm depth × 32cm width × 7cm height
- Required oven space: min. 30cm depth × 40cm width × 15cm vertical clearance between bottom rack and top element
1. Defrost from frozen in the fridge for 24 hours before cooking.
2. Preheat oven to 190°C (top & bottom heat; fan function recommended if available).
3. Remove the carton box. Set aside the fruit garnish — return it to the fridge.
4. Do not remove the suckling pig from its baking bag. Spread the bag flat, place on the tray skin-side up.
5. Place on the bottom rack and roast at 190°C for 2.5 hours. Avoid opening the oven during roasting.
6. Remove from oven. Cut the bag open with scissors, transfer to a plate and rest for 2–3 minutes before carving. The meat will be juicier after resting.
7. Add the fruit garnish to the side of each serving — never on the crispy skin.
- Serve the Chardonnay chilled (8–10°C) as an aperitif or with the first courses
- Serve the Malbec at room temperature alongside the suckling pig
